Six operating commitments for every public docket. They define what the record may claim and what it must disclose.
Payment never purchases a favorable conclusion.
State of Proof is currently operated and funded by Material Shift. Any future sponsored examination will be disclosed on its docket. Payment may fund work; it will never determine a status or finding.
Findings apply only to the named claim, source version, assumptions, and review route.
A status on Lemma 4.2 for v3 says nothing about v4, about other lemmas, or about the prose around them. Every status names its scope.
Corrections and previous versions remain visible.
This launch begins the public history. A material correction will be added as a new State Change, with the affected source hash and prior entry retained or linked wherever available.
Author responses are welcomed and preserved.
Responses may be published with their provenance alongside the evidence they address. Any privacy, safety, or formatting edit will be disclosed; substantive edits require the respondent's approval.
Formal verification does not automatically establish correspondence with the public claim.
A machine-checked statement supports only the encoded endpoint under its definitions and dependencies. Whether it faithfully renders the manuscript’s public claim is a separate audit gate.
An unresolved Open Step is an honest outcome.
“Inconclusive” and “Human review required” are publishable end states. A missing verdict is not a failure of the record; a manufactured one would be.
Statuses describe evidence collected for a defined scope. They are not peer-review decisions, publication recommendations, or certificates of mathematical truth.
